At Aspire@Rossholme we animals on site which need taking care of. We understand that not everyone likes animals, like everything else it is completely optional to look after them.

CHICKENS

During lockdown 2020 we rescued battery hens, when they first arrived they were in a very poor and fragile state with hardly any feathers, we gave them lots of care and attention and provided them with all of the nutritious things they needed, they soon grew back their feathers and became extremely friendly and enjoy human company very much. 

​

Collecting eggs, feeding and cleaning the chicken hutches are all a part of animal care at Aspire@Rossholme. We sell our eggs and we use them in our kitchen.

ALPACAS

We have 3 male Alpacas named; Sebastian, Diego and Tinker. We are currently training them to be walked as we'd like to provide an Alpaca trek service. The Alpacas produce a natural fertilizer which is great for the veg and flowers we grow.

​

The Alpacas need feeding daily, they need training 3 times a week and LOTS of human interaction.

BEES

We have very recently got Bees, therefore next summer we will be able to sell our own honey. 

​

The bees need to be checked on once a week, to do this you have to use smoke and wear a special beekeeper suit.
